My name is Billy and I live in Tokyo, Japan. This is my personal page and here you’ll find nothing of any real importance; just the same types of ramblings, musings, and other crap found all too often in various blogs throughout the cybersphere. However, I do hope that what you find here will be interesting, entertaining, or at least useful to some degree and that you’ll come back, even if for no other reason than to abuse me.



Why, “The Pokerist”?
Anyone who knows me knows that I’ve spent way too much time in my life playing poker. Indeed, before I came to Japan, I derived a portion of my income from poker. These days, I mostly play online for small stakes, but every now and then a one or two-week trip to Vegas is in order, and at those times, this blog’s content may be poker-heavy. Most of the time, however, you can expect the poker posts to be kept to a minimum (I can almost hear you breathing a sigh of relief).
